CIOB Welsh Assembly Reception

As part of Members Forum and as part of raising the profile of the CIOB and its members with key decision makers, the CIOB will be hosted at the Welsh Assembly on Wednesday 21 June 2017 between 6pm and 8pm at a very special Members Forum reception.

The Welsh Assembly reception is kindly being hosted by the Welsh Government Minister for Skills & Science, Julie James AM. In addition, many other Welsh Assembly Members and Ministers have confirmed they will also be in attendance at this event, as well as many industry leaders from Wales.

The reception will be a unique opportunity for the elected politicians at the Welsh Assembly, from all political parties, to meet our Members Forum guests from all over the world and to meet some key players in the built environment. It is also a great opportunity to invite some key stakeholders in Wales to the event.

The Welsh Assembly, or Senedd as it is referred to in Welsh (pronounced SEN-eth), was established in 1999 and a new Senedd building, designed by British architect Richard Rogers, was opened in 2006 and has already become an iconic building in Wales. It was built next to another iconic building, the Wales Millennium Centre in the heart of Cardiff Bay.

Welsh food and refreshments will be available at the event.

The Welsh Assembly reception is free to attend and you will find more information about this event in your delegation packs. In the meantime, if you have any questions about the Welsh Assembly reception, please email Steven Crane-Jenkins at scrane-jenkins@ciob.org.uk.
