Welcome to the blog of Members’ Forum 2017.

An insight into Members’ Forum

Members Forum is a great experience. It helps you see exactly what the CIOB is doing today and has planned for the future and to play an important part in it.

What does Members Forum mean to me?
Members Forum is a great experience. It helps you see exactly what the CIOB is doing today and has planned for the future and to play an important part in it.
What sort of issues do we discuss?
Past Member’s Forums have covered topics such as Modern Slavery, OneCIOB and Diversity in construction to name but a few. There are many topics that are discussed and debated with our CIOB colleagues from around the globe in workshops and seminars.
Who attends?
CIOB members from around the world, from many different backgrounds but all share a common belief in our great industry and how important it is, no matter what project we may be involved with or role we carry out. We are truly part of ‘Global ‘professional family.
What have been the highlights so far?
Inspirational – For example Global Student Challenge, of which the final concluded in 2016 at Members Forum, gives a sense of pride in our future construction leaders and their energy, ambition, intelligence and determination to be the best…..and win of course.
‘OurCIOB’ – One of the nicest things about attending MF is that you get know all the friendly CIOB staff making the arrangements and helping everyone to be in the right place at the right time over the course of the week. No mean feat I can tell you!
Networking – Probably nowhere else on the planet where you will be a room with your peers, experts, industry leaders, politicians and Government representatives .
Annual Conference – top speakers, including our President, with very informative topics that are at the cutting edge of technology and cover the important issues facing us all, wherever we work in the world.
There have been some great site visits and some fun times too on Cultural Evenings both chances to get to know each other better and helps us work together during the “Business end” of Members Forum.
We won’t mention some of the diplomatic challenges we have had from time to time!
